Fly Fishing on the Snake River
Tranquility on the river that flows through Antelope Trails

Jackson Hole is a land of adventurers and thrill-seekers. While the bull riders and professional skiers may opt for more adrenaline, we believe fly-fishing offers a unique joy and tranquility that we encourage all visitors to experience.
With the views alone, the Snake River in Jackson Hole might be one of the most memorable fly-fishing destinations in the country. Situated just a few miles away from the foot of the Grand Tetons, the Snake River ambles through a breath-taking valley, offering up some of the most spectacular views in the world.

At Antelope Trails Ranch we offer a unique way to experience this best-in-class fishing opportunity. Our property has private access to the snake, guaranteeing true tranquility and solitude. In addition to riverfront access, there are several tributaries of the Snake that flow through our land, offering additional fishing options.

We have partnered with local experts, like Will Dornan from Snake River Angler, who know the river the like the back of their hand. Under their guidance, anyone from a first-timer to a seasoned expert can learn to navigate fly fishing on the Snake.
Although encouraged - guides are not required. Guests who already have their own fly-fishing expertise are welcome to fish in the river at any time. Often, our guests will hire a guide early on in their trip to get the best tips and tricks, and then enjoy fishing independently throughout the remainder of their stay.

Late summer and early autumn (August - October) are the best times to fish in Jackson, but the river remains fishable year-round. With the right equipment it can be enjoyed in any season - and it is always one of our favorite things to do at the ranch.
We find that some of the life’s best conversations happen behind a set of fishing rods, and enjoying the sights and sounds of the river with loved ones is pretty tough to beat. And of course, nothing compares to the thrill of catching that first fish; it’s a rush of adrenaline that even the skiers and the bull riders will admit - is pretty damn fun.
